For the Love of Snouts was founded in 2024 with a mission to provide a way to play more with your pets!
Did you know play is one of an animal's basic needs? All animals take part in some form of play, and play is a great way to decrease stress, build confidence, and LEARN!
About Erin
Erin has spent over 20 years in the pet care industry and has a passion for working with all types of animals to ensure they have a safe, happy life. She focuses on force free techniques to ensure your pet looks forward to learning and maintaining life skills.
As a lifelong learner, she has earned a Masters of Science in Clinical Animal Behavior, maintains her Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer credentials, and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Certified Behavior Consultant. In 2024, she also joined the board of directors Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
She regularly attends animal behavior, training, and welfare conferences and webinars as well as stays up to date on the latest in animal research and innovation all to enhance the knowledge of pet owners in the community.

I offer a variety of training classes and private instruction to encourage confidence and curiosity in every pet and owner.

Classes let you learn all about your pup and are meant to be fun and engaging for both dogs and owners.
Other species can take advantage of private instruction to customize their experience.
Erin's Philosophy on Pet Ownership
I am NOT a perfect pet parent. Far from it! My own pets are also not perfect. I, too, can get frustrated with them some days. However, I think we owe it to our pets to provide them the best care we can.
What gets me through tough times is the joy of seeing my fur-kids happy. Seeing those "a-ha" learning light bulbs flicker, watching them play and explore, hearing their snores after a good romp: this all makes pet parenthood worth it!
I think it's so important to learn to love the pet you have. Too often people have a picture in their head of exactly how they want their pet to behave and think about how their pet fits into their life. Unfortunately, this ideal image doesn't always work out, but with dedication, understanding, & empathy, you can embrace your pet's little quirks and preferences to truly enjoy and have fun with them!
When working with pet owners, my goal is to help you understand your pet and find the best way to work together for a long-term, positive, and gratifying relationship.
